Home Fertlility Treatments HLA-G

The HLA gens (human leukocyte antigen) act on the modulation of the maternal immune response during pregnancy. The HLA molecule is produced by the embryo and can be detected at early stages of fertilization in the medium where the IVF embryos are cultured.

Several studies in the literature observed that embryos with high levels of HLA-G had better implantation rates compared to ones with lower levels. Therefore we adopted this test as a routine in our Clinic as it can be a valuable tool for selecting the best embryos for transfer allowing better pregnancy rates.
